move from the entrance to the exit without getting caught in dead-end paths. Inside the maze, we only see walls and turns. God stands above the maze and looks down on our plight. He knows the right path. Yet we often find him silent as we evaluate the crossroads we confront. Or, we thought we heard him say, “Turn left,” only to find ourselves in a box canyon and in the dilemma of explaining the wrong direction we credited to God. How do we balance the reality of life we experience with good theology?
